About

Kasai Rinkai Park spreads across 80 hectares of reclaimed land on Tokyo Bay. Its centrepiece is Tokyo Sea Life Park, Yoshio Taniguchi's glass-dome aquarium famous for its doughnut-shaped tuna tank, plus the 'Diamond and Flower' Ferris wheel, one of Japan's tallest, whose 17-minute loop takes in Tokyo Disney Resort, the bay and, on clear days, Mount Fuji and Skytree. A bridge leads to the Kasai Kaihin Park artificial beaches (a Ramsar-listed wetland), the bird sanctuary attracts wintering waterfowl, and a glass-walled Crystal View rest house frames the sea. It's ideal for a picnic, a sunset or as a calm alternative to Odaiba.
