About

Opened in 1989 and standing 117 metres tall, this wheel at the station end of Kasai Rinkai Park is the classic way to take in the whole bay. A 17-minute ride lifts you above the parks pines for a panorama sweeping from Tokyo Disney Resorts castle and volcano to the Odaiba waterfront, Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo Gate Bridge, Skytree, the Aqua-Line and, on clear winter days, Mt Fuji and the Boso hills. A few gondolas have see-through floors and walls if you want a thrill. After dark the frame is lit with programmed patterns of diamonds and flowers visible across the bay, and its a staple of Tokyo date nights.
