Shibuya Crossing from MAG8 Rooftop CROSSING VIEW & ROOFTOP LOUNGE MAG8(MAGNET by SHIBUYA109 屋上)

The rooftop of MAGNET by SHIBUYA109 hangs directly over the north corner of Shibuya Scramble, giving the classic top-down shot of thousands of people crossing in every direction, closer and lower than Shibuya Sky, so faces, umbrellas and taxis still read in the frame.

About

MAG8, officially CROSSING VIEW & ROOFTOP LOUNGE MAG8, sits on the roof of MAGNET by SHIBUYA109 at the Jinnan corner of the crossing. It reopened on 3 March 2026 after a renovation, and the deal is simple: one cashless entry fee that includes a drink, then as long as you like at the railing. The height is the point. At about eight storeys you look almost straight down onto the zebra stripes, the Hachiko side of the station and the giant screens of QFRONT and the Shibuya Station buildings, so you can shoot crowd patterns, long-exposure ghosts and umbrellas in the rain with real detail rather than the toy-town view from 230 m up. It is the best paid spot for the scramble itself; Shibuya Sky, next door, is better for the skyline. There is also a paid drone-style camera service that films you from above via your phone.
