SHIBUYA TSUTAYA SHIBUYA TSUTAYA
The iconic building above the Scramble Crossing, reborn in 2024 as an anime-and-pop-culture hub: pop-up shops, a collaboration café, a Pokémon Card Lounge and the famous Starbucks window over the crossing.
About
For decades, SHIBUYA TSUTAYA was a video-rental landmark whose second-floor Starbucks overlooked the world's busiest crossing. After a full renovation it reopened in April 2024 with floors from B2 to 8F given over to pop-up 'IP' shops and exhibitions for anime, games and idols, a collaboration café, a bookstore of character goods, a coworking-style SHARE LOUNGE, and a Pokémon Card Lounge where players can book tables. The line-up changes every few weeks, so there's always a new pop-up to see.
Highlights
- Pop-up shops and exhibitions for current anime, games and idols
- Starbucks with views over the Scramble Crossing
