About

Squeezed into Shibuya's Showa-era 'Drunkard's Alley' beside the Yamanote tracks, Bar Piano has been a date spot since the post-war years. The ground floor is barely three stools at a counter made from a piano, while the narrow staircase leads to a lounge that is all red and black, chandeliers and odd artworks. Drinks are simple and the seat fee modest, and the experience of drinking in this tiny time capsule steps from Shibuya Crossing is the point.
