About
Built in 1931 beside the Tokyo Memorial Hall, the museum shows objects recovered after the 1923 earthquake and fire, including melted metal and burnt belongings, together with paintings, photos and models of the disaster and Tokyo's reconstruction. Later exhibits cover the 1945 air raids. Twisted girders and machinery stand in the outdoor display area.
