About

Sewaritei is a long levee separating the Uji and Kizu rivers just before they join the Yodo River. Its cherry trees form one of the Kansai region's best-known blossom tunnels, with wide grassy banks for picnics on either side. The Sakura Deai-kan observation tower at the entrance looks down the length of the avenue. Outside the blossom season it is a quiet place for walks and cycling.
