About

The Otokoyama Observation Deck sits near the Hachimangu-sanjo top station of the Iwashimizu Hachimangu Sando Cable, on the wooded hill that holds the national-treasure shrine. From the deck the three rivers that join to form the Yodo River spread out below, with central Kyoto beyond, Mt Tennozan to the west and Mt Hiei and the Uji hills to the east. Cherry blossom and autumn leaves around the deck make spring and late autumn especially popular.
