About
Nintendo was founded in Kyoto in 1889 as a hanafuda card maker, and its official store here opened in October 2023 as the third in Japan after Tokyo and Osaka. Located on the 6th floor of the T8 specialty zone of Kyoto Takashimaya S.C., it sells merchandise for all of Nintendo's big franchises, Kyoto-exclusive items such as hanafuda-inspired designs, and has demo stations for the latest games. Busy at weekends, it sometimes uses numbered entry.
