About

Gururi means "all the way round", and this park is exactly that: a broad, tree-lined promenade wrapping the reclaimed island that holds Toyosu Market. Because the market sits back from the water, the path is open, flat and uncrowded, with lawns, benches and a barbecue area along the way. The west side faces Harumi and the city centre, Tokyo Tower, the Rainbow Bridge and, on clear winter evenings, Mount Fuji silhouetted at sunset, while the south side looks across to Odaiba and the bay. Joggers, cyclists, fishermen and dog walkers have it largely to themselves; most market visitors never realise it exists. It is also one of the best free places to watch the Tokyo Bay fireworks.
