About

Above the concert halls of Tokyo Opera City, this gallery stages three or four major exhibitions a year with generous, tall rooms that suit large installations and architecture shows; past shows have ranged from photographers and painters to architects and product designers. The fourth-floor collection galleries show selections from the Terada Collection of contemporary Japanese painting, and project N gives a small room to emerging painters. From Oct 17 to Dec 20, 2026 the main exhibition is Seeds and Roots: How to Cultivate a City. The complex also holds the NTT InterCommunication Center (ICC) for media art on another floor, and the sunken garden and cafes make it an easy half-day out from Shinjuku.
