Founded in 1983, the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum holds around 30,000 works. Its Western painting galleries trace European art over five centuries, and the museum also stages major touring exhibitions and shows of Japanese and East Asian art. It is a bus ride from Hachioji Station but rarely crowded.
