About
Sayama Park spreads over the eastern end of the Sayama Hills, right beside Lake Tama (Murayama Reservoir). Paths lead through satoyama woodland to the dam embankment, where the lake, its domed intake tower and, on clear days, Mt. Fuji line up for sunset views. It is a gentle introduction to the hills that inspired My Neighbor Totoro.
