About

Noyamakita-Rokudoyama Park covers a large swathe of the western Sayama Hills and is managed as working satoyama countryside. A restored farmhouse with an irori hearth sits among rice paddies, ponds and coppiced woodland, and seasonal events let visitors join rice planting and harvest. Trails continue along the ridge to an observation tower with views toward the Okutama mountains.
