About
Kitayama Park lies below the green Sayama Hills, with rice paddies, a stream and ponds that keep a rural Musashino atmosphere. Its iris fields are the main draw: over 100,000 plants in about 600 varieties bloom from late May into June, when the Higashimurayama Iris Festival is held. The scenery is one of the 'New 100 Views of Tokyo'.
