Ryogoku Tourist Information Center 両国観光案内所
Sumida City's sumo-town information desk inside Ryogoku Edo Noren, directly linked to JR Ryogoku Station, with Sumida-made souvenirs and longer hours during the Tokyo sumo tournaments.
About
Ryogoku is sumo's home ground, and this information center on 1F of Ryogoku Edo Noren (a converted station building with a full-size sumo ring in its food hall) is the place to plan around it. Staff speaking Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean advise on the Kokugikan, sumo stable morning practice etiquette, chanko-nabe restaurants, the Hokusai Museum and the riverside. It sells products made in Sumida, and the building has an ATM, toilets and free Wi-Fi. During the January, May and September Tokyo tournaments it stays open an hour later, until 19:00.
