Three banks: outside the JR West gate (about 32, 10 large, IC), inside the JR West gate at the top of the stairs (83 lockers, coins only) and outside the Oedo Line gate. Ryogoku Kokugikan is next door.

About

Ryogoku is the sumo town, with the Kokugikan arena, the Sumida Hokusai Museum and chanko-nabe restaurants. Out of the JR West gate, go straight and turn left at the cafe corner: lockers stand between the pillars ahead on the right, about 12 small, 10 medium and 10 large, payable by IC card, coins or notes. Inside the West gate, at the top of the stairs on the facing wall, is a big bank of 71 small, 9 medium and 3 large lockers that take coins only, with no change machine nearby. Out of the Toei Oedo Line gate, turn right and right again at the first corner for 10 mini, 2 small, 1 medium and 3 large lockers with IC payment. The Edo NOREN food hall in the old station building is next to the West Exit.

Tips

• The inside-gate bank takes coins only; bring 100-yen coins
• Pin is approximate at the JR West gate
• JR East lockers roll over to a new day at 2:00 am and can be used for up to 3 days; after that, bags go to the station's lost-property office
