About
Otome Road ('Maiden Road') is the heart of Ikebukuro's female-oriented otaku culture, the counterpart to Akihabara. Along the street and its side lanes are branches of Animate, K-Books, Lashinbang and other shops selling second-hand doujinshi, character goods, voice-actor and idol merchandise, plus themed cafes. Japan Guide's Ikebukuro page describes it as the centre of the female otaku scene.
