About

Opened in 2014 as the chain's 'Mega' flagship, this store on the 2F of Sunshine City Alpa is still the one serious collectors head to first: the widest plush wall in Japan, a dedicated Pokémon Trading Card Game counter, gacha, stationery and the seasonal Pokémon Center promotional lines that sell out within days. A life-size Mega Charizard display guards the entrance and is the default photo spot. Right next door is Pikachu Sweets by Pokémon Café, a takeout counter selling Pikachu-shaped pastries and drinks. The shop closed from 27 March 2026 after a serious incident on the premises and reopened on 24 August 2026 following partial renovation; for the time being entry may be controlled (numbered tickets or queue), so check the official Pokémon Center site before you go. Combine with Sunshine Aquarium on the roof of the same complex and Animate/Otome Road a few minutes away.
