Sunshine City サンシャインシティ
Ikebukuro's sprawling 'city within a city': Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo, Sunshine Aquarium, a planetarium, an observatory on Sunshine 60 and around 200 shops.
About
Built in 1978 around the 240m Sunshine 60 tower, Sunshine City is one of Tokyo's best rainy-day complexes. Alpa and the World Import Mart hold around 200 shops including Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo, Disney and Ghibli shops, gacha game cafés, J-World-style collaboration spaces and plenty of anime goods. Add Sunshine Aquarium on the roof, the Konica Minolta Planetarium Manten, the Ancient Orient Museum and the Tenbou-Park observatory on 60F (renewed with a park-like lawn), and you can easily lose a day.
