About
Run by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the Heiwa Kinen Tenji Shiryokan tells the personal stories of Japanese soldiers, the hundreds of thousands held in Soviet labour camps in Siberia, and the civilians who returned from overseas after 1945. Reconstructions, letters and everyday objects make the history concrete. Entry is free and the 33rd-floor setting gives city views.
