About

Run by the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, this is the original Tokyo Tourist Information Center and still the most complete stock of Tokyo and all-Japan pamphlets in the city. Staff working in Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean handle sightseeing, route and transport questions, Tokyo accommodation queries and day-trip planning, and the counter sells Tokyo-themed goods and some tickets. It sits on 1F of Main Building No.1, the same building whose free 45F North and South observatories draw queues every day, so it is the natural first stop before heading up. There are free Wi-Fi, USB charging ports and wheelchair access, and the center also introduces the Tokyo Tourism Volunteer guides. It is closed only over the New Year holidays and on building inspection days.
