Marion Crêpes Harajuku マリオンクレープ 原宿竹下通り店
The crêpe stand that started Harajuku's crêpe culture in 1977, with a wall of plastic food models showing dozens of wrapped crêpes stuffed with cream, fruit, cheesecake and ice cream.
About
Marion began as a food truck in 1976 and moved to Takeshita Street the next year, kicking off the Harajuku tradition of walking-around crêpes. The thin, slightly crisp crêpes are folded into a cone and filled with combinations such as strawberry and whipped cream, banana-chocolate, a whole slice of cheesecake, tiramisu, matcha ice cream or savoury tuna and ham. The fun is choosing from the glossy plastic samples that cover the stand's front. Expect a short queue on weekends, but service is quick.
