Koffee Mameya Kakeru KOFFEE MAMEYA -Kakeru-
Tokyo's most talked-about coffee experience: a sleek omakase-style coffee bar in Kiyosumi-Shirakawa where baristas serve multi-course tastings of espresso, filter brews and coffee cocktails across a giant square counter.
About
From Eiichi Kunitomo, the force behind Omotesando Koffee and Koffee Mameya, Kakeru opened in 2021 in a converted warehouse in Kiyosumi-Shirakawa, Tokyo's coffee district. A huge square counter in the centre of a minimalist room puts the baristas on stage; guests choose from a few tasting courses, each pairing beans from roasters around the world with different brewing methods, temperatures and milk or cocktail preparations, sometimes alongside small sweets. It's coffee treated like fine dining, and it regularly appears in lists of the world's best coffee experiences. You can also buy beans to take home.
