About

Since the Shinjuku East Exit center closed on 31 July 2026, this New South Exit office is JR East's only dedicated travel service center for international visitors in Shinjuku. It sells and exchanges Japan Rail Passes and JR East area passes, issues basic fare and Shinkansen tickets, hands over tickets reserved through JR-EAST Train Reservation, and gives tourist information for East Japan and Hokuriku with free JR-EAST Wi-Fi. The New South Exit is the side facing Busta Shinjuku and the Takashimaya Times Square deck, handy if you are also catching a highway bus or the Narita Express from the southern platforms.
