About

Hakushu grills on Sakuragaoka's slope behind Shibuya Station, run by the same family with a warm, welcoming style that has made it a hit in travel reviews and food videos. Diners sit around a hot iron plate while the chef cooks Kobe beef or other premium wagyu steaks, plus garlic chips, vegetables and seafood, finishing with garlic fried rice. The counter seats only a dozen or so, so it feels intimate, and the chef explains each cut. Prices are high but noticeably lower than the big-name teppanyaki rooms in Ginza and hotels, which is why it's booked solid.
