About

Known simply as ggg, this two-level gallery has been Japan's main showcase for graphic design since 1986, presenting posters, typography, book design and branding by masters such as Ikko Tanaka, Kenya Hara and Kashiwa Sato, plus international names from Europe and beyond. Exhibitions run roughly monthly and are free. In autumn 2026 the gallery shows Yoshihisa Tanaka ARCHIVE / ACHIEVE (to Oct 21), then the annual Art Direction Japan 2026 exhibition (Oct 30 to Nov 30), a survey of the year's best Japanese advertising and design, followed by Gianluigi Toccafondo and others from December. It is a quick, rewarding stop between Ginza's department stores.
