The Tokyo Station Hotel occupies the restored Marunouchi building of 1914, and Bar Oak is the most atmospheric place to drink inside it: exposed original brick walls, oak panelling and a counter facing a broad whisky shelf. Order the signature 'Tokyo Station' cocktail or a Japanese single malt and you are effectively drinking inside a national Important Cultural Property. It is ideal for a nightcap before an early shinkansen or after the station's evening illumination.
