Nemuro Hanamaru started in Nemuro, at Hokkaido's eastern tip, and its KITTE Marunouchi branch is one of the most popular conveyor-sushi restaurants in Tokyo with locals and visitors alike. Plates go round the belt but most people order from the chefs or the order sheet: fat scallops, salmon roe, Hokkaido uni, crab miso gunkan and seasonal fish from northern waters. Its location beside Tokyo Station makes it a perfect pre-shinkansen meal, if you plan around the wait.
