Jinrui Mina Menrui 人類みな麺類
Osaka's most hyped ramen shop: sweet-savoury shoyu broth and slabs of chashu so thick they look like steaks. The queue outside a quiet Minamikata street corner never seems to end.
About
Jinrui Mina Menrui ('All humans are noodles') became a sensation for its three bowls: 'genten' (the original, light shoyu with thin noodles), 'micro' (rich, with thick noodles) and 'macro' (lighter seafood-forward). The signature is the chashu, cut about a centimetre thick and melt-tender. The shop is in a residential area north of Umeda, and lines of 30-60 minutes are normal. It has since spawned branches including in Tokyo, but the Osaka original is the one fans travel for.
Highlights
