Shin-Osaka's main locker banks are on the 2F concourse around the Central Exit, the Uniqlo shop and the Shinkansen Central Gate, with more by the East and West exits and inside the gates. Plenty of medium units and some extra-large ones.

Shin-Osaka is where most Tokyo Shinkansen passengers arrive, and lockers are scattered across the 2F conventional-line concourse that links the Shinkansen gates, the JR Kyoto Line and the Midosuji subway. The largest banks are beside and in front of Uniqlo (about 130 small, 25 medium and 22 extra-large units across two banks, IC-card units with multilingual screens), at the 2F Central Exit (small, medium and large), and by the Shinkansen Central Gate. More banks sit near the East Exit (some extra-large) and the West Exit toward the subway, including a bank behind the police box with around 26 large units. There are also lockers inside the gates. The JR West group's Crosta Shin-Osaka baggage counter is nearby if everything is full.

Tips

• Large units vanish around Shinkansen peak hours; the West Exit police-box bank is often the last with space
• Leave bags here only if you'll return via Shin-Osaka, as the area itself has few sights
• Crosta Shin-Osaka (staffed) takes oversize luggage
• Most lockers are cleared after 3 days and the contents go to the station lost-property office, so don't use them for multi-day storage
