About
Nariai-ji began as a mountain ascetic training site and is now a Shingon temple on the Saigoku Kannon pilgrimage. It stands high on the slopes above Kasamatsu Park, and the viewpoint near the temple looks down the full length of Amanohashidate. The former temple precinct was recently designated a national historic site. The temple has a small cafe.

- In winter the mountain road can be snowy; drivers should set navigation to the Tango Local History Museum, as the temple advises
