About
Kasamatsu Park looks down on Amanohashidate from the north, where the sandbar appears to rise diagonally across the bay, a view called Shoryukan (the ascending dragon). Visitors traditionally bend over and look at it through their legs, known as matanozoki, so the sandbar seems to float in the sky. A cable car and a chairlift run up from beside Kono Shrine. The summit has a small cafe and terraces.
