About
Kono Shrine is the Ichinomiya (leading shrine) of the old Tango province and is called Motoise because the deities of Ise are said to have been worshipped here before moving to Ise. Its main hall is built in the same shinmei style as Ise. The shrine sits just below the Kasamatsu Park cable car.
