About
Kanbayashi Shunsho was one of the official tea masters (chashi) of Uji under the shogunate and has traded for about 450 years. Its Uji shop on the Byodoin approach sells matcha, gyokuro and sencha, and a small tea seat overlooking a tsubo garden serves a matcha blend found only there.
