About

JR Uji on the Nara Line (rapid trains take about 17 minutes from Kyoto) is the main gateway to Byodo-in, Ujigami Shrine and the matcha shops along Byodo-in Omotesando. Coin lockers stand just left of the ticket gate, with another bank by the South Exit at the foot of the stairs. Byodo-in is about 10 minutes' walk along the tea-shop street. The station's tea-pot shaped mailbox makes a fun photo.

Leave bags here before the Byodo-in Omotesando matcha crawl
If you're going on to Nara, store bags at Kyoto Station instead
