About
Donguri Republic is the official Ghibli character store chain, and its Ninenzaka branch is set inside a traditional building on the historic slope below Kiyomizu-dera. It stocks plush Totoros, Kiki's Delivery Service and Spirited Away goods, music boxes and Kyoto-limited designs. A big Totoro greets visitors at the entrance, making it a popular photo stop.
