HOUEI COFFEE is a Narita-based roaster, and this Monzen (temple-gate) shop on the Shin-sando lane is where every bean for its stores is roasted. It is a takeout counter rather than a sit-down cafe, so think of it as fuel for the walk back up the hill: espresso drinks, hand-drip single origins and bags of beans to take home. You can often watch roasting through the glass. The brand also runs a sit-down cafe in Kozunomori if you want to linger.
