About
Opened in 2018 next to Yufuin Station, YUFUINFO is a two-storey building by Pritzker laureate Shigeru Ban, with a timber lattice structure and a full-height glass atrium that frames Mt. Yufu and the trains on the platform. Downstairs are multilingual information desks, the Chikki luggage storage and delivery counter and transport info; upstairs is a library-like lounge with local books and seating. Staff can help with bus connections to Beppu, taxi bookings and ryokan directions.
