About

Beppu-wan Service Area on the Higashi-Kyushu Expressway (E10) sits about 380 m above sea level on the slopes behind Beppu, and its inbound and outbound sides are joined by a flower-lined walking path. Terraces at its restaurants and cafe look out over Beppu Bay, often called the 'Naples of the East', and the city lights of Beppu and Oita at night. The site was produced by the Yufuin inn Sanso Murata and has a food court, soba restaurant and souvenir shops.

Tips
