About
Lake Ashi formed in the caldera of Mt. Hakone. Its shores hold the Hakone Shrine with its lakeside torii, the reconstructed Hakone Checkpoint and a cedar-lined section of the old Tokaido road. Sightseeing cruises cross the lake in about 25-40 minutes and link with the Hakone Ropeway at Togendai.
