About

Yumenoshima, "Dream Island", was a garbage landfill until the 1960s and is now planted with tall eucalyptus and palm-like trees. The park holds the free Daigo Fukuryu Maru Exhibition Hall, which displays the fishing boat irradiated by a 1954 US hydrogen bomb test, an athletics stadium, the archery field used at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, the BumB Tokyo Sports Culture Center and the tropical plant greenhouse. Lawns and wide paths make it good for running and picnics. Park entry is free.
