About

Tsubakiya's Ginza main shop is a two-floor salon of chandeliers, red velvet and dark wood, styled after the Taisho Roman era of the 1910s–20s. Coffee is brewed by siphon and served in fine porcelain; the famous companion is the thick, sweet Tsubakiya-style cheesecake or a fluffy omurice for lunch. It's a calm, theatrical escape from Ginza's shopping avenues.
