About

SCRAP invented the Real Escape Game format in Kyoto in 2007, and Tokyo Mystery Circus is its headquarters, a building near Seibu-Shinjuku Station packed with escape rooms, large-scale hall games, short puzzle attractions and a café-shop full of brain-teaser merchandise. The lineup rotates every few months; recent offerings included a Jumbo Rolling Maze, the free-roaming horror investigation 'The Spooky School Urban Legend Investigation' and a Sadako-themed horror escape game. Selected games run in English, typically 60–90 minutes for teams of two to six, with tickets from around ¥3,700. They're genuinely hard, success rates are often low, which is half the fun. Entry to the building, café and shop is free, so you can look around before committing. Great for groups of friends, families with teens and rainy days.
