About

Opened in 2015 in the Shinjuku Toho Building, this is Tokyo's best-known multiplex thanks to the Godzilla head on the eighth-floor terrace of the attached hotel. It has 12 screens and about 2,300 seats, including an IMAX Laser auditorium (screen 10), a 481-seat TCX large-format screen with Dolby Atmos (screen 9) and an MX4D motion-seat theatre. Foreign films are normally screened in the original language with Japanese subtitles (look for 字幕 on the schedule, not 吹替 = dubbed); Japanese films are usually shown without English subtitles.
