About

Opened in April 2015 in the Shinjuku Toho Building, on the site of the old Koma Theatre, Hotel Gracery Shinjuku is famous for its neighbour on the terrace. The life-size Godzilla head (listed separately in this app) looms above Kabukicho at about the height the 50 m monster would stand. Toho, Godzilla's studio, owns the building. Hotel guests get the closest encounter: a handful of Godzilla View rooms look straight out at the head and its giant claw, and the Godzilla Room is fully themed, with a Godzilla figure and claw in the room, special art and souvenirs. Normal rooms are compact and well priced for central Shinjuku, and the lobby on the 8th floor has Godzilla figures and displays. Kabukicho's nightlife, the Golden Gai bars and Toho Cinemas are all within a few steps, so it is a good base for a night-owl trip to Shinjuku.
