About
According to shrine tradition, the deity appeared from a spring in the village in 1526 and was enshrined by the monk Gyoei, with spirit transferred from Iwashimizu Hachimangu. A verse about crossing beyond Edo is said to be the source of the name Togoshi. The current hall dates from 1966, and the wooded approach is a calm break from the shopping street.
