About

Symphony's white cruise ships (Symphony Moderna and Symphony Classica) have been a Tokyo Bay institution for decades, the go-to for anniversaries and visiting parents. Sailings depart Hinode Pier, a short walk from Takeshiba and Hinode stations, and loop the inner bay: under Rainbow Bridge, past the Odaiba waterfront, container cranes and Haneda's approach paths, with Tokyo Tower and Skytree on the skyline. The lunch cruise runs about two hours from around midday; there are short afternoon cruises, a sunset sailing and a two-and-a-half-hour dinner cruise when the city lights up. Food is classic hotel-style French or Italian set menus, and the open upper deck is the real attraction. Cruise-only tickets (no meal) are an affordable way to get the views. Dress is smart-casual.
