Sushi Ryujiro 鮨 龍次郎
One Michelin star and a Tabelog Sushi TOKYO 100 pick. Chef Ryujiro opens every omakase with a single piece of chutoro, near Gaienmae.
About
Sushi Ryujiro opened in Minami-Aoyama in late 2019 and quickly earned a Michelin star (held in 2026) and a place among Tabelog's top sushi shops. The omakase begins with medium-fatty tuna, a statement of the chef's pride in his tuna and his relationship with his wholesaler, and moves through polished Edomae nigiri and snacks. Fun touches include an overstuffed kappamaki of crunchy cucumber and tamago in hot dashi. The bustle of the young team behind the counter gives the room a lively energy.
