About

Shinozaki Park stretches about 30 hectares along the Edogawa embankment, a favourite with Edogawa families rather than tourists. In spring hundreds of cherry trees and a plum grove bloom on wide lawns, while summer brings barbecue areas and the Edogawa fireworks (shared with Ichikawa across the river) are watched from the riverbank. There are sports fields, a forest-like zone of zelkova and pines, and paths that link up with the river embankment cycling route. On the embankment you get broad skies, the river and the Ichikawa side, especially lovely at sunset.
